HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Hello: In my November newsletter I explained that I would be taking a break for December. I thought I would be having surgery to removed bone spurs in my shoulder. However, my MRI showed a torn rotator cuff. And this type of surgery is a long ordeal and can take up to a year to recover from. My specialist wants me to do more physical therapy. I’ll give that a try for the next six months and see if I can live with the situation. Removing bone spurs is simple, rotator cuff repairs can be tricky.

Four or five years ago, I wrote an article on a rare form of skin cancer that my husband has.  I have had well over 1,000 comments on that one article. Because of the interest in it,  I plan on focusing on more articles on rare health conditions. And an update on this rare form of skin cancer known as dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. It has the nature to keep returning. Never becomes terminal, never spreads if taken care of. No cancer should ever be ignored. When caught early it can be cured and treated accordingly. So stay tuned, I’ll be writing specifically about rare disorders and other cancers.

Meanwhile, I thought I’d leave you with a holiday recipe.

Happy New Year to all of you. I appreciate your staying with me, even if you don’t get to read each article every month. I know how busy life can be. Thank you!
